9. Baseball's Anthem

Take Me Out To The Ball Game is played during the 7th inning at every MLB game

9 Things You Might Not Know About Baseball

The song Take Me Out To The Ball Game, was written in 1908 by Jack Norworth and Albert von Tilzer.

The unofficial anthem of American baseball, “Take Me Out to the Ballgame,” is traditionally sung during the middle of the 7th inning which is termed “the 7th inning stretch.”

Neither Norworth nor von Tilzer had ever been to a major league baseball game, evidently, they really did want to be taken to a ball game.
